Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in civil contracting to join our team. Candidates must possess 5 to 15 years of junior-level quantity surveying experience within the civil construction sector. This role requires comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of civil construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs backed by detailed measurement sheets and hand sketches.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel proficiently for data analysis and reporting.
- Review and extract accurate measurements from AutoCAD drawings.
- Develop detailed rate analyses for various civil construction components.
- Manage costing and tender submission processes efficiently.
- Prepare, verify, and certify both running and final civil construction bills.
- Reconcile materials such as cement, steel, and other free supply items used on site.
- Prepare bar-bending schedules meticulously aligned with project drawings.
- Create comparative statements and conduct reconciliations as required.
- Quantify material requirements for projects accurately.
- Maintain effective communication via email and coordinate with site teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) is required.
- Minimum 5 to 15 years experience in quantity surveying specifically in civil contracting.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction principles, field practices, and material consumption ratios such as cement and reinforcement usage.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Excel for measurement and reporting tasks.
- Ability to prepare bar-bending schedules and perform detailed rate analyses.
- Effective mail communication and site coordination skills.
