Role Overview

As a Quantitative Developer Intern, you will create software solutions utilizing advanced statistical techniques that directly affect our automated trading approaches spanning diverse asset classes. Collaborating with Quantitative Researchers, you will develop ideas into technological solutions, tackle complex technical challenges, and utilize state-of-the-art technology and computational resources. Immediate responsibility over key components will be entrusted to you.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, test, and deploy proprietary software designed for intricate algorithm-based trading platforms.
• Enhance performance of extensive data processing and modeling efforts.
• Partner with research teams to transform trading strategies into functioning production software.
• Develop software tools overseeing risk management and execution aspects within the trading systems.
• Automate trader-driven strategies for implementing algorithmic trades from original trading concepts.
• Maintain daily operational technology needs for proprietary trading platforms and assess new technologies to enhance infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in fields like computer science, electrical or computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or similar disciplines, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Proficient in Python programming with solid software development expertise.
• Strong analytical abilities paired with knowledge in statistics.
• Experienced in asynchronous and multithreaded programming, managing large datasets, and network programming.
• Comprehension of object-oriented design principles, data structures, and algorithmic concepts.

Internship Experience

• Engage in demanding projects under the guidance of a software engineer, ensuring meaningful learning and substantive practical experience.
• Participate in various community events focused on education, social interaction, and team-building to foster connections.
• Form mentorship bonds with seasoned professionals to discuss career goals, obstacles, and attend coordinated outings exploring the city.
