Quality Engineer

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will join a high-impact team that shapes the delivery of product releases within an agile framework. This role focuses on designing and maintaining reliable, scalable automated tests integrated into our CI/CD pipeline to improve software quality and development velocity.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated and functional tests covering functional, system, API, integration, UI, and regression scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Platform, Product, and DevOps to deploy and execute automated tests in test environments via CI/CD tools.
• Deliver prompt feedback on test outcomes to QA and relevant stakeholders.
• Engage in technical planning, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum two years of hands-on experience in test automation for APIs and UI, utilizing frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest, or Junit.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language from JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of scalable system architecture for web APIs and backend processes.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies suited to rapid release cycles.
• Ability to design test cases addressing edge, negative, compatibility, and concurrency cases using test management systems like TestRail.
• Working familiarity with relational databases and expertise in SQL querying for large datasets.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for Ontario-based applicants is between 84000 and 99750 CAD annually, reflective of market standards and individual qualifications. Additional compensation opportunities may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
