About the Role
Monadelphous is seeking a committed and skilled Quality Coordinator to join the Papua New Guinea team, stationed at their Brisbane office. This permanent full-time position involves international travel and is focused on driving the application of the company’s Quality Management policy, system, and strategies across PNG, concentrating especially on fabrication and major projects.
Responsibilities
The role reports directly to the Eastern Region Quality and Welding Manager and involves leading quality assurance activities and team coordination to uphold project standards.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have previous experience within the Energy, Mining, Non-Process infrastructure, or resource industries, managing multidisciplinary quality teams. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or technical post-trade certifications such as AS 1796 Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor or IIW International Welding Specialist (or higher) are essential. Additional quality certifications like AOQ Certified Quality Practitioner or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer are highly regarded.
The position demands hands-on experience in subcontracted fabrication surveillance and inspections, ensuring continuous verification processes are met. A thorough understanding of quality-related root cause analysis and leading corrective action closures is necessary. Candidates should be proficient in developing product verification documentation including work packs, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Inspection Test Records (ITRs).
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office is expected, along with prior experience using SAP or Maximo, which is considered advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate quality concepts across different organizational levels. Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace is mandatory. Applicants must provide proof of their right to work in Australia.
