Role Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our software development team. This position involves partnering with another QA Analyst to support developers by testing newly introduced features, bug fixes, and product enhancements.
Extensive QA experience is not necessary, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, meticulous attention to detail, and eagerness to learn. This opportunity suits those who enjoy analytical problem-solving, collaborating with development teams, and contributing to software solutions used by energy and field operation professionals worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement test plans to detect defects, bugs, and usability challenges in software applications, databases, and other AbaData products.
- Perform manual testing across multiple functions and platforms.
- Draft clear, concise test cases and bug reports, describing issues, steps to replicate, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported problems efficiently.
- Contribute feedback and recommendations for improving product quality within the development lifecycle.
- Keep current with evolving testing techniques and tools.
- Maintain thorough documentation detailing testing activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in software testing or comparable role.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing best practices.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
