About the Role
Innefu Labs is hiring a highly detail-conscious Quality Assurance Engineer with over 3 years of experience specializing in manual software testing. This position is based in Delhi and involves working onsite as part of the QA team focused on validating web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret business and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test strategies.
- Create, maintain, and execute thorough test cases, scenarios, and plans covering functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing phases.
- Detect, document, and track defects through defect management tools.
- Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and analysts to resolve issues and verify fixes before releases.
- Engage actively in Agile sprint ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain detailed test documentation and QA reports reflecting product quality throughout the software life cycle.
- Support continuous enhancement of QA methodologies and process improvements.
- Contribute to automation testing efforts when required.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in manual software testing.
- Solid knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Demonstrated competence with functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Proficient in authoring test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
- Experience using defect tracking software like Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Basic SQL skills for database verification.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills.
- Capability to operate both independently and collaboratively within teams.
Preferred Skills
- Some knowledge of automation testing concepts.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Basic programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript related to test automation.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with Git version control systems.
- Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Educational Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines is required. Relevant QA or automation certifications are advantageous.
