QHSE Engineer

Role overview

We are hiring a QHSE Engineer for the LAC Qatar Service department at Leminar Air Conditioning Industries LLC in Doha. In this role, you will help ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are properly applied across project activities.

What you will do

• Carry out and support the execution of project HSE plans along with client-specific HSE expectations.
• Visit work sites to perform inspections, audits, risk reviews, and job safety analyses.
• Lead HSE induction sessions, toolbox talks, and broader safety awareness initiatives.
• Check that permit-to-work controls and safe work methods are being followed.
• Look into incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, then suggest corrective measures.
• Keep HSE logs, reports, and related records accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with clients, project teams, and subcontractors on all HSE-related matters.
• Take part in emergency readiness and response activities.
• Intervene to halt unsafe practices when people, assets, or the environment may be at risk.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or another relevant discipline is required.
• Holding a recognized HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• You should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar QHSE position, ideally within the HVAC sector.
• Strong understanding of HSE rules, standards, and practical safety methods is necessary.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities are important for working with different stakeholders.
• You must be able to assess risks carefully and create suitable safety controls.
• Comfort using HSE management systems and data analysis tools is expected.
• Willingness to travel to project locations whenever needed is required.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• A valid driving license is required.
