QA Manual Tester

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated QA Manual Tester to join our team in Vancouver, BC on a full-time basis. This role involves conducting detailed manual testing of complex and new features, reviewing identified issues, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on complex scenarios and new functionalities.
• Assess bugs and tasks reported by offshore testers prior to developer assignment.
• Monitor and pursue resolution of high-priority and blocking defects.
• Initiate and document significant tasks that can be directly assigned to developers.
• Collaborate efficiently with the QA lead and other team members.
• Track implementation of critical incremental changes and ensure they are adequately tested.
• Compile and submit weekly reports detailing executed tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in software testing roles.
• Strong understanding of the testing lifecycle including planning, designing, and executing test cases.
• Proficient in mobile application testing.
• Skilled in conducting various testing types such as sanity, regression, smoke, and testing of new features.
• Ability to analyze test outcomes and defect reports effectively.
• Experience working in teams across both offshore and onsite environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of defect management processes.
