QA Lead

Job Summary

This position is based in Mumbai with opportunities also in Pune and Bengaluru. Candidates should have 6 to 8 years of experience in testing roles focused on delivering high-quality enterprise software through both manual and automated testing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create and carry out precise test cases aligned with requirements, analyzing outputs and reporting issues within stipulated timeframes.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including positive, negative, and edge cases.
• Document defects accurately with appropriate priorities, follow up until resolution, and perform root cause analysis.
• Validate compliance of software against key architectural specifications.
• Provide feedback regarding usability and service aspects, linking outcomes to quality risks and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop, configure, and execute automated testing procedures focusing on software stability and performance.
• Collaborate with product management and development teams to deliver reliable enterprise-grade solutions.
• Design and maintain automated testing frameworks and strategies.
• Evaluate best practices for automated and manual testing and perform acceptance, integration, installation, and system testing accordingly.
• Maintain documentation of test results and confirm fixes meet automation standards.
• Participate actively in both functional and non-functional testing activities; engage in requirement analysis, scrum meetings, code reviews, and test strategy planning.
• Prepare and update quality assurance and project documentation consistently.
• Analyze production issues, determine root causes, and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Proven 6 to 8 years’ experience in quality assurance roles within Agile environments.
• Strong ability to implement test plans, adhere to testing procedures, and document outcomes.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in software testing, including standards, code reviews, test data management, and techniques.
• Expertise in writing detailed test cases and automation scripts, with strong skills in recording and analyzing test results.
• Proficiency in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end system testing and test automation.
• Experience with Java or JavaScript programming languages.
• Hands-on experience working with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks including Cucumber, Serenity BDD, or CodeceptJS.
• Proficient in using tools such as JIRA for issue tracking and Git for version control.
• Practical experience in API testing.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering quality results.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of preparing reports for senior management.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of additional testing frameworks like TestNG, Mocha, or Behave.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and test pyramid models.
• Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Exposure to performance, load, or volume testing, along with tools such as JMeter.

Role based in Dentsu Global Services India Office located at Thane Ashar IT Park, Mumbai.
