Role Overview

As a QA Analyst, you will collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure the highest quality across software releases. This role involves validating new features, detecting issues early, and supporting developers in resolving bugs. You'll be expected to thoroughly understand the applications, identifying edge cases beyond predefined scenarios, and take ownership of product quality in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain deep understanding of applications, their features, workflows, and user journeys.
• Collaborate continuously with developers throughout development and release cycles.
• Conduct tests on new builds whenever changes or enhancements are introduced.
• Verify the functionality of new features and confirm existing functions remain stable.
• Execute comprehensive end-to-end functional and regression tests.
• Explore applications from user perspectives, spotting unexpected behaviors and anomalies.
• Identify various product issues including bugs, edge cases, workflow interruptions, validation errors, and UI inconsistencies.
• Reproduce defects and document them with clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and visual evidence such as screenshots or videos.
• Use Jira or similar tools for bug logging and management.
• Provide timely and precise feedback to developers and product managers.
• Work closely with developers to clarify, reproduce, and troubleshoot reported issues.
• Retest resolved defects for confirmation of fixes.
• Perform regression testing post releases and major modifications.
• Maintain updated test scenarios, checklists, and documentation.
• Prioritize issues based on user impact and severity.
• Continuously enhance QA practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

• Keen attention to detail with strong logical and analytical thinking.
• Quick learner able to grasp new applications and workflows rapidly.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently without stepwise instructions.
• Excellent communication skill, especially in conveying technical issues to developers.
• Ability to think beyond obvious use cases, identifying potential edge cases.

• Strong ownership mentality and responsibility towards product quality.
• Genuine curiosity about software, product behavior, and mechanism.

Technical Knowledge

• Basic awareness of software development processes and web application architecture.
• Experience with or understanding of codebases and code comprehension at fundamental level.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git or code repositories is advantageous.
• Knowledge of browser Developer Tools is preferred.
• Basic understanding of SQL and databases is a plus.
• Experience using Jira or equivalent issue-tracking platforms is preferred.

Work Environment
