Purchasing Representative

Role Overview

Under direct supervision, the Purchasing Representative is entrusted with sourcing and acquiring goods and services essential for restaurant operations. The position focuses on ensuring products are available promptly while maintaining quality standards and cost-effectiveness.

Key Duties

• Identify and assess local suppliers within the Saudi Arabian market.
• Solicit quotations and conduct negotiations regarding pricing, quality criteria, and delivery timelines.
• Draft and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track fulfillment until goods are received.
• Guarantee the sustained supply of food, beverages, packaging materials, and other operational necessities.
• Liaise closely with warehouse and restaurant teams to address purchasing requirements effectively.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with suppliers to foster cooperation.
• Supervise supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery delays or quality deficiencies.
• Maintain precise records and documentation of all purchasing activities.
• Seek and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing product quality.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures governing purchasing.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least five years of purchasing experience, specifically within the Saudi market.
• Previous work experience in the restaurant or food & beverage sector is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local suppliers and procurement standards.
• Strong abilities in negotiation and communication.
• Competency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Capacity to handle pressure and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
