Job Description

• Lead and oversee the implementation of Active Travel initiatives in Ireland, ensuring timely, on-budget, and contract-compliant delivery.
• Manage and inspire a high-performing team by offering guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure each project's success.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices, applying this insight to project planning and execution.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships to foster collaboration and satisfaction.
• Implement quality assurance procedures to guarantee the accuracy and high standard of project deliverables, meeting client expectations.
• Oversee financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, and resource management for optimal project profitability.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior leadership and clients, highlighting milestones and achievements.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities by crafting strategies and contributing to proposals that secure new urban transport projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional recognition.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, Active Travel, or transport infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in delivering infrastructure projects effectively.
• Proven business development expertise with a strong record of securing and growing design and engineering assignments.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Financial proficiency in managing project budgets.
