About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with specialized expertise in Consumer Data Right (CDR) to lead a critical regulatory program within the financial services sector based in Sydney. This position demands a deep familiarity with the CDR ecosystem and the capability to convert regulatory demands into effective delivery outcomes. The role emphasizes ownership of delivery, regulatory understanding, and strong cross-functional collaboration as the implementation largely relies on third-party technology platforms rather than internal technical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of CDR-related projects from initial planning to implementation and subsequent optimization phases.
- Interpret CDR regulations, standards, privacy protections, and associated requirements into concrete and actionable delivery plans.
- Collaborate closely with Product teams to define project priorities, scopes, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate efforts among internal departments including Risk & Compliance, Privacy, Operations, and external vendors to ensure smooth progress.
- Manage critical project components such as milestones, dependencies, risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (RAID), governance, and reporting mechanisms.
- Prepare the organization for business readiness, plan go-live activities, and support operational transitions.
- Proactively identify risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects within the CDR or open banking domain is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the CDR regulatory framework including rules, standards, and privacy safeguards.
- Professional background in financial services or regulatory project management environments.
- Comfortable working with third-party platforms and managing external partnerships.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement combined with practical delivery expertise.
- Familiarity with lending or banking sector initiatives is advantageous, though priority is given to CDR expertise.
