About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and review weekly project audits, addressing findings with the team and Business Unit leads to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate EHS alerts effectively and engage workforce participation through targeted campaigns like toolbox talks and stand-downs.
  • Ensure all Mercury procedures and project specifications are understood and adhered to by the team.
  • Oversee procurement planning and engineering development to meet deadlines, including material takeoffs and subcontractor pricing reviews.
  • Participate regularly in scheduled meetings such as tool box talks (TBT), safety leadership team (SLT), and daily activity breakdowns (DABS).
  • Maintain active involvement in client meetings to promote strong Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide training opportunities for the project team and subcontractors, setting standards for skill development.
  • Review weekly project progress with planners and devise strategies to keep the project on course.
  • Coordinate across teams using project lookaheads to ensure achievable timelines.
  • Manage subcontractor meetings, safety walks, audits, and client interfaces effectively.
  • Guide and support the project team by aligning expectations, empowering the construction manager, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or a recognized trade qualification.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing large construction projects as a general contractor.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural project packages.
