Job Overview
The Training Manager leads the comprehensive integration, onboarding, learning, and development initiatives for all Mustang project sites. This critical position ensures new hires are fully immersed in the project culture and equipped with the necessary skills for personal and team success. Acting as the central contact point among project leaders, HR, facilitators, and the Associate Development team, this role guarantees a unified, high-standard employee experience throughout an associate’s initial year. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy for associate integration, ensuring effective onboarding and alignment with project culture, standards, and expectations.
- Collaborate with project leadership to identify workforce needs through interviews and surveys, implementing focused development interventions.
- Coordinate cross-functional jobsite efforts to plan, schedule, and execute integration and training rollouts, encompassing office, field, and safety domains.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate training sessions and establish expectations for learning experiences.
- Assist leaders and trainees in reinforcing knowledge, coaching employees, and sustaining targeted behaviors through mechanisms such as learning assessments.
- Maintain uniformity in integration and training programs across all teams and functional areas.
- Track and analyze metrics relating to integration and training participation, progress, and effectiveness; report findings regularly to leadership.
- Organize and lead feedback sessions to monitor progress, collecting input and making continuous improvements.
- Work closely with the Coordinator to manage logistics, scheduling, communications, and record-keeping efficiently.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing onboarding, workforce development, or training programs in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or comparable complex environments.
- Proven capability to influence leadership and promote program adoption within field-based settings.
- Skilled at handling multiple priorities and stakeholder interests within large-scale projects or operations.
- Strong facilitation and coaching proficiency, particularly in dynamic, in-field environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, or a closely related discipline.
- Preference for candidates with construction industry experience; alternative relevant sectors include oil & gas, manufacturing (automotive, chip), pharmaceuticals, and education.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively—between 50% and 70%—to project locations as business demands.
