Role Overview
An established personal care and hygiene manufacturing business in Umm Al Quwain is seeking a Production Manager to oversee plant operations and strengthen manufacturing performance. The role calls for a seasoned professional who can guide production activity, improve efficiency, and maintain quality standards across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to keep manufacturing output aligned with business targets.
- Improve workflows and production methods to raise efficiency and reduce process losses.
- Lead production teams and monitor performance through KPIs and productivity measures.
- Control wastage and support consistent output quality across manufacturing lines.
- Work closely with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, GMP, 5S, and continuous improvement practices in day-to-day production management.
- Use ERP systems to support production tracking, coordination, and operational control.
Experience and Requirements
- Applicants should bring at least 5 years of production experience in manufacturing environments such as paper, packaging, perfume, tissue, nonwoven, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of production planning, process improvement, and quality management systems is essential.
- Prior experience handling production teams, performance targets, and waste reduction initiatives is required.
- Practical exposure to Lean Manufacturing, GMP, 5S, and continuous improvement methods is expected.
- ERP familiarity and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments are important.
- GCC manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Candidates available immediately or on a short notice period are preferred.
