Product Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level Product Designer to join our team in Ukraine. This role focuses on creating outstanding user experiences within complex and regulated product environments such as fintech, healthtech, and legaltech. You will play a vital role in guiding the design process, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and upholding a consistent, scalable design system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design initiatives from initial research through final delivery by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for features in complicated regulatory sectors including pricing, chargebacks, and Medicaid-style workflows.
• Contribute to and maintain components of the existing design system, adhering to established patterns for consistency across multiple products.
• Produce visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces focused on effective interaction design, clear dashboard layouts, and meaningful data visualizations aligned with user role KPIs.
• Ensure design decisions support product objectives and user requirements, confidently communicating rationale to stakeholders and engineers.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, actively participating in collaborative design workshops and problem-solving forums.
• Incorporate AI technologies into daily design tasks to accelerate workflows and enhance idea exploration.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years experience in product design backed by a portfolio demonstrating visual design, interaction design, and strategic product thinking, preferably within complex or regulated fields.
• Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design principles, and accessibility requirements.
• Highly analytical approach capable of simplifying dense and tightly regulated content for end users; emphasis on user clarity over visual flair.
• Background in high-complexity industries such as fintech, healthtech, or legaltech.
• Proficient working within and evolving existing design systems to develop scalable and reusable design components.
• Experience with collaborative design processes including workshops and team problem-solving sessions.
• Ability to present and defend design choices with clear reasoning, including the capacity to challenge stakeholders and engineers constructively; English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Exposure to usability testing and conducting user interviews to inform design decisions.
• Expertise in Figma as a primary design tool.
• Self-driven, eager to innovate, and committed to continuous learning.
• Consistent use of AI-based tools in design workflows, integrating them seamlessly rather than sporadically.
• Prior experience designing dashboards and data visualizations is advantageous.
