About the Role
The Community College of Denver (CCD), committed to promoting an inclusive and supportive environment for a diverse population, is looking for a Procurement Coordinator. This position plays a vital administrative and operational role supporting the Director, Associate Director, and Purchasing Agents by managing contracts and procurement processes, ensuring high-level customer service across campus departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point for all contract-related requests, ensuring submission of complete documentation prior to advancement.
- Maintain and update a centralized system to track contracts from request through final approval and monitor renewal dates to facilitate uninterrupted service agreements.
- Oversee routing of contracts for signature by authorized personnel.
- Assist Purchasing Agents by verifying insurance certificates and required documents are in order within electronic files.
- Coordinate meetings for evaluation committees during formal procurement solicitations and Documented Quotes.
- Collaborate with agents and leadership to smoothly transition purchases needing formal agreements into the contract lifecycle.
- Maintain auditable records and track college-wide subscriptions and memberships.
- Act as liaison for the Procurement Advisory Group, managing meetings and documentation.
- Support compliance and operations through report preparation, monthly commercial card audits, vendor coordination to resolve invoice or receipt issues, and document scanning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or an associate degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, professional purchasing, or administrative roles preferred.
- Must obtain Basic Procurement Certification through Colorado Procurement University within 90 days of hire.
- Proficiency in Banner ERP system is required.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills for managing complex documents.
- Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe software.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
