About the role
This role is for an on-call Processing Officer based at NZ Post’s Levin Operations Centre in Levin, New Zealand. The position sits within a team responsible for sorting, consolidating, and dispatching parcels and freight so they are ready for courier delivery. The work is casual and called on as needed, including cover for annual leave and sick leave.
The hourly pay rate is $26.75. The work location is 7 Sheffield Street, Levin.
What you will do
- Sort parcels and freight accurately and efficiently.
- Consolidate and prepare items for dispatch.
- Support the flow of work at the operations centre so deliveries can move on time.
- Work flexibly on an as-required basis to cover operational demand, including leave cover.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and productive workplace.
What we are looking for
- Availability for on-call shifts from Monday to Saturday between 4:00 am - 7:00 am and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
- A clean New Zealand driver licence.
- Forklift certification, including OSH Certificate or F-Endorsement, is an advantage.
- A team-focused attitude and a strong commitment to site safety.
- The physical capability to handle a demanding role, including lifting up to 25 kg.
- Good attention to detail and sound geographical knowledge.
