Process Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join Faham Group's operations team at Dubai Investment Park, UAE. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiencies by enhancing productivity, minimizing waste and defects, and standardizing manufacturing processes. The engineer will collaborate with multiple departments including Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Installation to solve inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production and operational workflows to uncover inefficiencies and suggest enhancements.
• Design and execute process upgrades, measuring results against baseline metrics.
• Assist in optimizing production layouts and workflows across various lines.
• Lead initiatives to reduce waste, defects, and losses within production.
• Perform Root Cause Analyses using methods such as 5 Why and Fishbone diagrams and implement corrective and preventive measures until resolved.
• Oversee process quality monitoring and initiate necessary improvements.
• Provide consistent production support to address technical challenges.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, Kaizen, PDCA cycles, and Visual Management techniques.
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset organizational-wide.
• Manage or participate in cross-departmental improvement projects from initial planning through execution.
• Conduct Time and Motion studies to identify efficiency gains.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical processes.
• Conduct productivity time studies and recommend labor efficiency enhancements.
• Track production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and generate periodic performance reports.
• Engage in machinery development by coordinating with manufacturers and managing Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Create and continuously improve production processes alongside maintaining technological documentation such as BOMs, routings, and 2D/3D drawings.
• Implement new products, machinery, and technological modifications.
• Analyze manufacturing costs to uncover opportunities for cost reductions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• Three to five years of experience in Process Engineering or Continuous Improvement roles, preferably within manufacturing sectors like furniture, woodworking, or modular construction.

Technical Proficiencies

• Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing tools including 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, and Visual Management.
• Expertise in Root Cause Analysis techniques such as 5 Why and Fishbone diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD and ERP systems is advantageous.
