Opportunity Overview
Join a top European private markets platform as a Junior Associate within their Infrastructure Investment Team. This role offers a prestigious chance for Senior Analysts or Associates experienced in M&A or Investment Banking to move into the buy-side, engaging with primary, secondary, and co-investment transactions focused on infrastructure. The platform boasts management of sizable multi-billion-euro funds for institutional clients and a strong performance record across European infrastructure investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end investment activities including sourcing prospects, screening, performing due diligence, executing transactions, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
- Evaluate infrastructure fund opportunities and direct/co-investments throughout Europe and OECD countries.
- Develop and scrutinize financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and project/asset-specific models along with return analyses.
- Create materials for investment committees such as memoranda, presentations, and analytical reports.
- Assist in portfolio design, track performance, and generate relevant reports.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts and maintain communication with clients.
- Monitor critical sectors such as energy transition, transportation, digital infrastructure, utilities, and social infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
- Two to three years of professional experience in M&A or Investment Banking.
- Proficient in advanced financial modeling and valuation methodologies.
- Hands-on transaction experience, including live deal involvement, due diligence, and financial analysis.
- Keen interest in infrastructure and real asset investment fields.
- Outstanding academic qualifications.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive approach, and excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in both English and German languages.
