About the Role
A prominent middle-market private equity firm in New York, managing about $2.8 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Private Equity Associate to contribute to its investment team. The firm focuses primarily on technology sector investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, including leveraged buyout (LBO) models, for both prospective deals and current portfolio companies.
- Perform detailed due diligence covering industry trends, market dynamics, and specific company assessments.
- Compile thorough investment memoranda and documentation to present before the Investment Committee.
- Collaborate closely with legal advisors, accountants, and other relevant third parties during transaction procedures.
- Track and analyze portfolio company performance and support initiatives aimed at value enhancement.
- Participate in deal origination efforts and nurture ongoing relationships with intermediaries and deal sources.
Requirements
- Possess 2 to 3 years of experience within investment banking, private equity, or growth equity sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Hold a bachelor's degree with a solid academic background.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Capability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently while operating independently within a small team environment.
