Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Pricing Executive based in Mumbai (Andheri) with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or International Shipping sectors. The role focuses on sourcing competitive freight rates, nurturing relations with carriers, and ensuring space availability at optimal prices across air and sea shipments. The candidate will also manage pricing data and remain informed about industry trends to deliver efficient logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate competitive freight rates directly with major airlines, shipping lines, NVOCCs, and consolidators.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within the industry to guarantee space availability and best pricing options across air and sea freight modes.
- Keep pricing databases, rate sheets, and related records accurate and up to date.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of shipping lines and airlines servicing specific trade routes to provide optimal customer solutions.
- Stay informed on market developments such as new services, updates on special charges, and the discontinuation of services.
Candidate Profile
- Positive demeanor, good health, and a constructive mindset are essential.
- Proficient in English and the local language.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Basic understanding of budgeting and vendor management.
- Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
- Familiarity with Logy-sis software or other accounting applications is preferred.
