Role Overview

As a Pressman, you will be entrusted with professionally pressing and finishing guest clothing, hotel linens, uniforms, and other related materials consistent with the hotel’s quality standards. This role requires diligence, comprehensive knowledge of fabric care, and safe operation of pressing machinery, ensuring high productivity and exceptional service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate pressing equipment, including steam presses and finishing machines.
• Press guest attire, staff uniforms, and hotel linens adhering to prescribed quality standards.
• Ensure all items are free from wrinkles, retain proper shape, and are presented in pristine condition.
• Conduct thorough inspections of garments and linens for stains, damage, missing buttons, or other defects prior to and following pressing.
• Apply suitable pressing methods depending on fabric types and garment specifications.
• Fold, hang, and package finished products as per departmental protocols.
• Maintain consistent quality control over all pressed items.
• Handle guest laundry and employee uniforms with careful professionalism.
• Identify and report garment damages, defects, or any special care instructions.
• Adhere to procedures to prevent loss, damage, or mishandling of garments.
• Ensure timely return of all finished items to relevant departments or guests.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferred prior experience as a Pressman, Laundry Attendant, or similar position within a hotel, resort, or commercial laundry setting.
• Knowledge of different fabric types, pressing techniques, and laundry procedures.
• Capability to handle industrial pressing machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining quality standards.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
