Position Overview

Scorpio is searching for a meticulous and motivated Preconstruction Estimator to support our team in Jacksonville, FL. This crucial position contributes to the preconstruction workflow by developing precise, comprehensive project cost projections from initial design stages through project submission. Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed quantity takeoffs and formulate complete project estimates from initial concept to final reporting.
• Oversee distribution and management of bidding documentation, including issuing bid requests and notifications.
• Monitor and document any revisions in project scope and quantities to ensure updated estimates.
• Generate clear, professional estimate reports for both negotiated contracts and hard-bid projects.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and assist in cost analyses as needed for operational purposes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years experience estimating commercial construction ventures.
• Demonstrated expertise in both negotiated and hard-bid estimating approaches.
• Proficiency with industry recognized estimating software and related tools.
