About the Role
Join Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital as a Porter and play a vital part in supporting excellent patient care within the UK’s largest healthcare charity. This full-time, permanent position offers an annual salary of £25,038 and involves working 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to consider part-time hours as well. The role requires physical stamina for tasks such as pushing beds and moving heavy equipment and excellent communication skills to help patients feel comfortable before and after their surgeries. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be part of your application process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely within a dedicated professional team.
- Transport patients safely to and from their rooms surrounding surgical procedures.
- Ensure surgical theatre environments and equipment are operational and well-maintained.
- Assist with cleaning duties related to theatres and medical equipment.
- Adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting and maintain seamless communication with theatre staff.
