Plant Housekeeper

Position Overview

Sofidel America located in Inola, Oklahoma is actively recruiting for a Plant Housekeeper role. We are seeking candidates residing locally who desire a long-term position within a stable and supportive company environment. Your skills and dedication will be critical for our team’s success.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness across manufacturing facilities, warehouse areas, production floors, and surrounding zones.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP regulations, and internal sanitation procedures consistently.
• Conduct pre-shift safety inspections on equipment such as industrial sweepers and cleaning machinery.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment safely, including sweepers, pallet jacks, and balers.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of equipment after each use to keep them in good working condition.
• Manage and remove paper waste, scrap material, debris, and recyclable items within production and warehouse areas.
• Assist with recycling initiatives and handling of waste materials using small balers.
• Maintain exterior areas like entrances, walkways, parking lots, and other designated outdoor spaces.
• Promptly report any mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Support production and warehouse teams as necessary to ensure smooth workflow, consistent quality, and timely completion of production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while strictly following safety guidelines and operating procedures.
• Actively participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in industrial housekeeping, manufacturing, warehouse, janitorial, or facility maintenance roles is advantageous.
• Experience operating industrial cleaning tools and material handling equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety guidelines, work orders, and operational instructions.
• Basic competence in math and computer use is desirable.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Comfortable working in environments with paper dust, operating machinery, fluctuating temperatures, and elevated noise levels.
• Willingness and ability to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye and hearing protection, reflective vests, and hairnets.
