About Givaudan and the Role
Become part of Givaudan, a global company dedicated to enhancing human experiences by innovating in food, fragrance, and beauty sectors. This opening is for a Planner position based at our key fragrance site in Ashford, Kent, UK. The Ashford Planning Team oversees activities for the local facility and the European Distribution Centre in Belgium, coordinating with multiple global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the supply of raw materials and ingredients.
- Schedule, order, and track product supply and distribution.
- Manage stock transfers from affiliate locations.
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Implement global allocation plans for critical ingredients in coordination with Global Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, and Supply Chain departments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels to proactively monitor stock levels and reduce shortage risks.
- Engage in critical review meetings and ensure effective communication and follow-up within the organization.
- Operate methodically with customer service focus and suggest improvement strategies using LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Assist in achieving defined KPIs and targets.
- Maintain strong connections with Ashford Operations teams and Business Solution centers, as well as other internal partners.
- Communicate regularly and clearly with various stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Preferred background in Business Administration, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum of five years' experience in global or regional planning or supply chain roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of supply chain end-to-end processes.
- Familiarity with fragrance products and ingredient manufacturing is advantageous.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is a plus.
- Proficiency with SAP, Business Intelligence, BOA tools, and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in matrix environments involving diverse stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making, accountability, initiative, and integrity.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Curious mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and improve.
