Role Overview

As a Photo Editor for the Templar Yearbook based in Grand Bassa County, Liberia, you will be responsible for overseeing all photographic content to ensure exceptional creative quality and consistency throughout the publication. Collaborating closely with editorial leadership, you will recruit and supervise a talented team of photo editors and freelance photographers and align visuals with the yearbook's themes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and direction of all photographic material featured in the yearbook, maintaining high creative and quality benchmarks.
• Partner with the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor to build and coordinate a team comprising photo editors and freelance photographers.
• Guide and support your team members by organizing assignments, delegating tasks, and managing schedules effectively.
• Coordinate with the Sports Team to verify that photography assignments for their section are appropriately distributed and completed on time.
• Ensure final photographic content upholds the intended thematic approach and meets quality expectations.
• Oversee project timelines and deadlines, aligning the photography workflow with the overall yearbook production calendar.

• Advanced knowledge of digital photography techniques and proficiency in photo editing software.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication capabilities to manage and mentor a diverse team.
• Strong organizational aptitude, capable of handling multiple projects and strict deadlines simultaneously.
