Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview

Edgewood Healthcare is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide compassionate care to residents in their assisted living and memory care community located in Helena, MT. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, including overnight shifts, and emphasizes fostering independence and dignity among seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and other daily living activities
• Maintain respectful and kind interactions to uphold residents' dignity
• Properly document all care activities performed
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and Edgewood’s internal policies

Qualifications and Expectations

• Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not mandatory
• A genuine passion for helping and supporting others
• Willingness to participate in training and help onboard new staff
• Motivation to continuously learn and enhance caregiving skills

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay from $16.00 per hour, contingent on experience
• Additional compensation: 50 cents extra per hour for evening shifts, 75 cents extra per hour for overnight shifts
• Earn an extra $1.00 per hour upon completion of the medication passer course
