Payment Operations Manager - Qatar (Onsite)

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Payment Operations Manager to lead our payment operations team based in Doha, Qatar. This contract role spans one year and requires onsite presence. The manager will supervise comprehensive payment activities, acting as the liaison between business units, IT departments, and banking partners while managing escalations and delivering performance insights to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and guide the Payment Operations Team for efficient workflow and task completion.
• Manage all aspects of payment processing, including reconciliation, reporting, and timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Finance, IT, and Taxpayer Services as well as external banks and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to service level agreements and address escalations promptly.
• Compile and communicate periodic reports covering performance metrics and risk evaluations to senior management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines is mandatory; a Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Preferred professional certifications include CAMS, CIMA, or CPA.
• At least 7 to 10 years of experience within payment operations, banking, or financial services sectors.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a leadership position overseeing payment or finance operations teams.
• Demonstrated expertise with payment processing, reconciliation, ERP and financial systems, payment platforms, cross-departmental coordination, SLA management, issue resolution, and accurate performance reporting.
