Operator

Overview

The primary objective of this role is to capture photographic data in various designated areas for our client, resulting in comprehensive 360-degree panoramic imagery. This involves gathering visual content from both public outdoor and indoor venues such as business centers, marketplaces, and other notable locations. Acting as the on-site visual data collector, you will help deliver immersive experiences to users worldwide while exploring diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the operations lead to coordinate activities.
• Capture images in public spaces using specialized equipment, maintaining composure while attracting public attention.
• Manage interactions with the public in a calm and professional manner.
• Operate various client-provided photographic devices tailored to specific project needs.
• Handle organization and shipment of collected materials.
• Submit daily documentation including operational updates, expense reports, and detailed capture logs.
• Ensure the safety, maintenance, and proper storage of client equipment.
• Carry out routine upkeep of rental vehicles assigned to the role.

Candidate Requirements

• Technologically adept with familiarity in G Suite, email, calls, and messaging platforms.
• Prior photography experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel beyond local regions and remain away from home for extended durations, when required.
• Capability to initially cover travel expenses before reimbursements (preferred, not mandatory).
• Dependable, punctual, highly self-driven, and detail-conscious.
• Proactive attitude, patience, and excellent attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of risk assessment and escalation protocols.
• Additional language proficiency is a beneficial asset.
• Fluency in the local language (spoken and written) pertinent to the region.
• Valid driver’s license coupled with a clean driving history.
• Physical fitness to carry and operate with a backpack weighing up to 23kg (50lbs) for periods of approximately 4-5 hours or as specified.
• Strong communication skills.

Terms and Conditions

This position is contract-based and requires the employee to work onsite within Nairobi County, Kenya. The candidate must be prepared for occasional travel and managing operational demands in various environments.
