About the Role
Tranzit Group, a renowned transport and tourism operator in New Zealand, is seeking a hands-on Operations Coordinator for their Wellington team. This multifaceted role includes managing daily operations across school, charter, tour, and cruise services, requiring quick thinking and adaptability to ensure smooth functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operational coordination and provide vital support to the wider team.
- Manage fleet activities such as servicing, maintenance, defect tracking, and maintaining vehicle presentation standards.
- Ensure vehicles remain service-ready by monitoring repairs and liaising closely with drivers and suppliers.
- Assist with bookings, quotations, driver compliance, onboarding processes, and general administrative tasks.
- Handle incidents, investigations, complaints, and service-related issues professionally.
- Offer after-hours support according to a rotational roster.
Candidate Profile
- Possess or be willing to obtain Class 2 or Class 4 driver licences, with company support for upskilling.
- Motivated and confident to drive vehicles when required.
- Prepared to secure the P endorsement, with training support available.
- Bring operational experience in fleet management, administration, or customer service, preferably within transport or passenger services sectors.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with drivers, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using computer systems; proficiency in Excel is an advantage.
- Maintain a positive and team-oriented attitude.
