About the Role
As an Operational Buyer at Brunel in Berlin, you will drive the execution of purchasing processes across direct and indirect procurement sectors. This role involves managing orders and tenders (RFX/RFQ), maintaining supplier data and price adjustments, and closely cooperating with internal departments and suppliers. You will ensure compliance with established procurement protocols while contributing to their ongoing refinement. The role expects proficiency in SAP and other procurement systems, supporting the strategic purchasing function.
Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing transactions for direct and indirect procurement.
- Create, manage, and track orders as well as tender processes (RFX/RFQ).
- Maintain and update purchase orders, pricing information, supplier, and master data.
- Respond to procurement inquiries, collaborating closely with internal teams and vendors.
- Ensure adherence to standardized purchasing workflows and participate in their continual improvement.
- Update data in SAP and other purchasing software and assist the strategic purchasing team.
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in operational procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proven expertise using SAP; knowledge of iValua or Coupa is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience working in an international environment is advantageous.
