Night Porter

About the Role

Talbot Hotel Midleton, part of the Talbot Collection, is seeking a Night Porter to join their team on a part-time contract basis. The Night Porter will be entrusted with the overall responsibility for the hotel throughout the night hours, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, particularly focused on conference and function activities as well as public areas, with the aim of achieving total guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting and event rooms according to weekly function sheets, including setup, breakdown, and resetting.
• Coordinate with the front office team to address all client requirements.
• Handle room service deliveries when necessary.
• Respond promptly to both internal and external inquiries.
• Conduct thorough safety checks and night audits to protect guest safety during nighttime.
• Ensure the hotel is fully prepared for operations the following day.
• Provide attentive service to guests throughout the night shift.
• Safeguard company assets, money, and goods.
• Undertake cleaning and porter duties as needed.
• Maintain a secure environment for all hotel guests.
• Complete detailed handovers with the outgoing night porter, ensuring all checklists are fully completed and preparing handovers for the next shift.

Candidate Requirements

• Reliable, organized, and computer literate individual.
• Proactive team player with good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Prior experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends is essential.
