Position Overview

Reporting to the Night Manager, the Night Auditor manages the nightly audit processes essential for hotel operations. This role involves verifying the daily property income, ensuring customer accounts are accurate and balanced, and delivering excellent customer service to guests and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and balance daily charges across all departments to customer folios, master accounts, and house accounts, correcting discrepancies and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, striving to meet and surpass guest expectations.
  • Reconcile the rooms audit with the night clerk’s summary report.
  • Maintain clear communication with guests, teammates, and supervisors.
  • Execute nightly computer processing sequences to prepare systems for the next day's operations.
  • Manage guest-related issues independently in the absence of management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least one year of guest service experience within a related industry.
  • Minimum one-year experience utilizing the Opera Property Management System.
  • At least one year of prior hotel experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong skills in guest relations, capable of handling diverse guest situations tactfully.
  • Adaptability, positivity, and energy to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient data entry, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, network systems, and Micros Opera software.
  • Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
