About the Role
A prominent research and development organization located near Frankfurt is seeking a Network Engineer to join their IT department in Offenbach am Main. This role emphasizes maintaining and supporting the company's network infrastructure to ensure secure and dependable IT services while actively participating in various infrastructural and network projects.
Main Duties
- Manage and oversee the company's LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
- Administer firewalls and uphold network security protocols.
- Provide technical support and advice on company-wide IT initiatives.
- Maintain and monitor Windows and Linux servers along with storage systems.
- Diagnose and resolve network and infrastructure issues to maintain system stability.
- Continuously analyze system performance and suggest enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to meet organizational IT needs.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years experience managing LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Cisco equipment.
- Relevant IT qualification such as Fachinformatiker or equivalent professional training.
- Solid knowledge of networking technologies, including Cisco switches, routers, and Fortinet firewalls.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Fluency in English and German at the C1 level or higher.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-resolution capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- A keen desire to upskill and grow professionally within technology fields.
Job Details & Benefits
- Work location: Frankfurt, Germany.
- Employment type: Permanent full-time position.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, office-based.
- Annual salary range: €55,000 to €70,000 depending on candidate’s experience.
