Job description
Role Overview
This position requires a versatile craftsperson skilled in electrical and mechanical maintenance to provide efficient repair and upkeep services across various hospital settings, including wards, operating theatres, manufacturing, and office areas. The role demands both team collaboration and independent initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical plant and equipment throughout multiple complex locations.
- Manage statutory inspections within assigned responsibilities, maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Participate in on-call duties, respond promptly to hospital calls, and possess a valid driving license with access to a private vehicle.
- Conduct servicing and repairs across NHS-owned estates.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong communication skills, including IT proficiency and both verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Responsibility and ownership for statutory compliance and documentation.
