About the Role
360 Search is collaborating with a reputable, longstanding insurance provider based in Dublin to recruit a full-time, permanent Motor Damage Claims Handler. This position offers an excellent chance to manage a varied and demanding portfolio of motor damage claims, providing fair, efficient, and empathetic service through the entire claims process. Working in a hybrid setting, you will ensure a balance between technical accuracy and superior customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a comprehensive portfolio of motor damage claims from first notification of loss to final resolution.
- Assess detailed vehicle damage reports to determine cost-effective repair vs total loss outcomes.
- Handle complex write-off claims by calculating market values, negotiating settlements, and overseeing salvage procedures.
- Collaborate closely with automotive engineers, approved repairers, policyholders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth claim progression.
- Maintain thorough and accurate claim documentation, ensuring compliance with policy guidelines, internal protocols, and Irish regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in motor claims handling within the Irish or UK insurance sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle damage evaluation, repair processes, and total loss protocols.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of clearly explaining technical decisions to clients with empathy.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities for handling multiple claims effectively.
- Legal eligibility to work professionally in Ireland; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- APA certification in Personal Lines or Commercial Underwriting/Claims or commitment to pursuing a CIP qualification.
- Experience working with repair networks and independent motor engineers.
