Key duties

• Perform MOT tests on Class 4 vehicles in accordance with DVSA standards
• Inspect vehicles carefully and identify defects or possible safety concerns with accuracy
• Prepare MOT paperwork and reports quickly and to a high standard, while protecting the integrity of the scheme
• Work closely with Service Advisors so that test findings and any required repairs are communicated clearly to vehicle owners
• Keep the workshop clean, orderly, and compliant with company and DVSA expectations

Candidate profile

• A valid MOT testing licence is essential, with at least Class 4 authorisation from DVSA
• An up-to-date annual training record and a passed assessment are required
• Previous MOT testing experience is necessary, along with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of vehicle testing procedures are expected
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach are important
• Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a supportive team
