Role Overview
The team is reviewing profiles for a Machine Learning Engineer / Machine Learning Operations Engineer position in Chennai. The role calls for 5+ years of experience and focuses on moving models from experimentation into reliable production systems.
What You Will Do
- Build data pipelines and the supporting engineering setup needed for large-scale enterprise machine learning solutions.
- Convert offline models created by data scientists into deployable, production-ready systems.
- Create and maintain scalable tools and services for training and inference workloads.
- Assess emerging tools and platforms that can improve speed, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Bring software engineering discipline to ML delivery, including automation and CI/CD practices.
- Assist model development efforts with a strong focus on traceability, version control, and data protection.
- Help prototype, test, and launch proof-of-concept machine learning solutions.
- Work with clients to clarify requirements and monitor project progress.
- Analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets effectively.
Technical Expertise Needed
- Advanced machine learning methods including decision trees, random forests, boosting, neural networks, deep learning, support vector machines, clustering, Bayesian networks, reinforcement learning, and feature reduction.
- Ability to design reliable machine learning operations workflows for production environments.
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and scalable infrastructure.
- Experience applying versioning, auditability, and security practices in ML systems.
Eligibility and Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning Operations role.
- Any graduate may apply, provided the experience and technical background match the role.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with different dataset formats.
