About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mini-Bus Driver to join Lift Broadlands, a small secondary school located in Keynsham near Bristol. This permanent, term-time only position involves working hours from approximately 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and then from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM, starting in September.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely transporting students to and from school while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Ensuring all passengers wear seatbelts and supervising safe boarding and disembarking, enforcing a one-person-per-seat policy.
- Performing daily vehicle safety checks including confirmation of first aid and fire extinguisher availability and ensuring gangways are unobstructed.
- Conducting weekly maintenance tasks such as cleaning, checking fluid levels, and general upkeep of vehicle roadworthiness.
- Refueling the minibus as necessary.
- Executing safety procedures to evacuate all passengers during vehicle breakdowns.
- Supporting safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young persons.
- Maintaining professional attendance, punctuality, and appearance standards.
- Building and sustaining positive relationships with school staff, students, residents, contractors, and visitors.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driving license with experience handling larger vehicles.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within communities, schools, or sports organizations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid certification preferred but not mandatory; willing to undertake training if required.
