Meat Specialist

Role overview

FairPrice Group is hiring a Meat Specialist for its Hougang location in Singapore. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on improving department sales performance, maintaining strong store presentation, and keeping shrinkage under control.

What you will do

• Support the department in achieving sales and profit goals by managing product presentation, assortment, and shrinkage at the store level.
• Apply strong knowledge of meat products, including product characteristics, meat handling and processing, display standards, customer service expectations, and shrinkage control.
• Lead, guide, and coach experienced cutters working across the assigned counter(s).

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
• You should be able to read and interpret product labels accurately.
• Working knowledge of meat preparation methods and food safety practices is necessary.
• Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays is required.
• You must be able to work a 6-day week, including weekends and public holidays.
• The role calls for a service-focused attitude and a collaborative team approach.
• You should be able to lift up to 10 kg and climb ladders for stock replenishment tasks.
