Job Overview
The Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing administrative duties in alignment with company guidelines related to leave allocation and manpower deployment. The role ensures optimal resource utilization to cover continuous 24-hour shift operations while delivering quality service in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Key Duties
- Consistently communicate operational updates concerning aircraft status and ground equipment to Engineers, Third Party Airline representatives, and Technicians using email, landline, or mobile phones.
- Notify internal teams and external third parties regarding operational needs such as aircraft weighing, tow-ins, tow-outs, water and waste servicing, and fueling operations.
- Prepare daily aircraft allocation sheets for both Emirates (EK) and third-party aircraft, specifying specialist technical support needs and coordinating additional resource requirements including overtime outside standard office hours.
- Organize and facilitate team assignments during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage logistics by controlling distribution of ramp vehicles, laptops, and mobile phones to Licensed Aircraft Engineers, coordinating regularly with DNATA, Facilities, and Ground Support Equipment departments to maintain supplies and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Update and report any faults related to IT equipment such as cameras and mobile phones.
- Coordinate Lost and Found items in collaboration with the Emirates Terminal team.
- Monitor technical log debriefs and continually update the Minimum Equipment List Deferred Defects (MEL DD) in the Engineering Integrated Reporting and Information System (EIRIS) 24/7; assess and process delay reports and Engineering Service Reports (ESRs) from outstations.
- Ensure all documentation and reports are promptly prepared for Maintenance Control Duty Manager review and maintain up-to-date records, including Daily Delay and Deferred Defect graphs.
- Incorporate updates to engineering technical documents within Compliance Monitoring controlled manuals.
- Maintain and update MCC-related materials such as laptops, AOG bags, outstation rosters, and contact lists, while providing logistical support for office administration, filing, and data archiving.
- Support AOG situations by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to efficiently deploy the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) team.
Candidate Profile
- Completed at least 12 years of schooling or an educational equivalent.
- Possess over four years of experience within an engineering context focusing on Compliance Monitoring or Maintenance Control Centre functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and company systems including TER, ROS, and Resource Management Systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Base Maintenance processes with the aptitude to quickly understand situations and take prompt action.
