Position Overview
We invite skilled professionals to join our Doha team as a Materials Inspector. This role demands a proactive approach to quality, safety, and compliance monitoring on infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to Inspection Requests from contractors, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up actions.
- Compare submitted shop drawings against contractual blueprints, specifications, local regulations, and recognized international standards.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformities in contractor work to relevant stakeholders for corrective measures.
- Supervise work quality on-site while evaluating safety practices, health, and environmental compliance aligned with contract/QCS specifications and risk assessments.
- Document daily site activities comprehensively, including photographic evidence, to maintain transparent progress records.
- Draft detailed surveillance and non-conformance reports addressing issues observed during site operations.
- Ensure seamless coordination among different disciplines to promote effective project delivery.
- Offer technical advice and leverage experience to resolve discipline-specific challenges arising on-site.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years' work experience aligned with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Qatar Public Works Authority RPD infrastructure projects, including roads and micro tunneling activities, is essential.
