About the Role
A premier global healthcare manufacturing facility in Sligo is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join its engineering team on the night shift. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and reliability of manufacturing equipment through hands-on operational support.
- Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance on both manufacturing equipment and site services.
- Coordinate equipment validation processes and maintain accurate engineering records.
- Lead process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance production capability.
- Work closely with site teams and external service providers to deliver engineering projects and support.
- Track, evaluate, and report on engineering metrics and departmental objectives.
- Uphold workplace health, safety, and environmental standards, and ensure compliance at all times.
- Assist in addressing incidents and help establish corrective measures.
- Foster a proactive safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Requirements
- Possession of a trade qualification or relevant degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing, engineering, or regulated production—preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, or the food sector.
- Exceptional technical troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience working both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
- Background supporting equipment or facilities in a regulated production setting is advantageous.
