About the Company
Dawn InfoTek Inc. is an IT consulting organization that works with leading financial institutions, investment firms, and public sector clients.
Role Overview
They are looking for an Intermediate QA Analyst with solid hands-on experience in manual testing, defect handling, and working closely with Agile teams. In this role, you will verify application behavior, manage test assets in ALM, record and monitor issues in Jira, contribute to defect review discussions, and help ensure dependable software releases for enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and run manual test cases and test scenarios in ALM.
- Carry out functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and integration tests.
- Raise, monitor, and maintain defects in Jira with clear steps to reproduce and supporting evidence.
- Take part in defect triage meetings with development and product stakeholders.
- Recheck fixes and complete regression testing before releases.
- Work with cross-functional Agile teams during sprint planning, refinement, and release cycles.
- Review business and functional requirements to confirm coverage is complete.
- Compile test execution summaries and share testing progress, risks, and blockers with stakeholders.
- Assist with production checks and post-release verification.
- Use AI-enabled tools and current QA technologies to increase testing speed and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in manual QA or software testing.
- Practical experience using ALM for test case organization and test execution.
- Strong working knowledge of Jira for defect logging and reporting.
- Background in defect triage meetings and collaboration with developers.
- Good understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle concepts.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong command of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing methods.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Capability to handle priorities and multiple assignments efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AI-supported testing tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or other AI-based QA platforms.
- Basic familiarity with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL queries and database checks.
- Prior experience in enterprise or financial services settings.
Education
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
