Job description
Overview
Join a rapidly expanding private equity-backed healthcare platform in Hamburg, where you will play a pivotal role driving value creation from strategy into execution. Collaborate closely with executive leadership, including a former McKinsey partner and the PE fund's investment team, to translate analyses into actionable decisions and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify critical value drivers within the platform and its portfolio companies.
- Analyze business models, cost structures, operational KPIs, and processes.
- Design and manage performance, growth, and efficiency initiatives through to implementation.
- Develop and maintain robust KPI, reporting, and management control systems.
- Support integration of newly acquired companies under the buy-and-build strategy.
- Optimize organizational setups and end-to-end workflows.
- Convert data and insights into clear decision options for management and shareholders.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure concepts deliver sustained results.
What Makes This Role Unique
- Significant influence over execution – lead projects beyond the concept phase to tangible impact.
- Direct collaboration with CEO, CTO, and private equity investors without hierarchical barriers.
- Opportunity to gain an entrepreneurial perspective by operationally advancing a healthcare company.
- Engagement across a broad range of strategic areas including performance, growth, integration, and transformation.
- Your contributions will have immediate and visible effects on the company's progress.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a leading strategy, operations, or restructuring consultancy.
- An outstanding academic background.
- Strong analytical and conceptual reasoning skills.
- Ability to rapidly structure complex problems and focus on key issues.
- Confidence in working with KPIs, business cases, and executive-level storylines.
- Self-motivation in driving topics independently and accountability for results.
- Willingness to move from analysis to hands-on operational execution.
- Excellent communication skills at the management level.
- Fluency in both German and English at a negotiation level.
Additional Information
Experience in healthcare or private equity sectors is advantageous but not mandatory. The decisive factors are strategic judgment, entrepreneurial drive, and a determination to effect real change. The successful candidate takes initiative without waiting for perfect briefings, quickly grasps new business models, asks pertinent questions, and remains pragmatic amid incomplete information, combining analytical depth with execution strength.
