Role Summary

The Manager of Transaction Management for EMEA will report to the Regional Real Estate Delivery Lead and will be responsible for executing end-to-end real estate transactions aligned with business and portfolio objectives. This role involves close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including business leaders, Real Estate, Facilities Management, EHSS, and Global Security. The position is based onsite at Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland, with hybrid work options at several locations including Leeds, UK and Zuchwil, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of real estate transactions such as leases, renewals, expansions, and disposals to meet timing, financial targets, and strategic goals.
• Lead lease and transaction negotiations with landlords, developers, and third-party vendors, ensuring agreements balance cost, flexibility, and risk while aligning with company policies and local regulations.
• Translate portfolio strategies into transaction plans and support initiatives like consolidations, expansions, relocations, and site exits.
• Ensure all transactions comply with global governance, approval thresholds, and documentation standards, while identifying and escalating risks timely.
• Collaborate across functions including Real Estate Delivery, Governance & Strategy, Property Services, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and EHSS to deliver consistent decision support and transaction insights.
• Oversee supplier and broker management ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards.
• Coordinate smooth handover of executed transactions to project delivery and site operations teams, maintaining workplace standards and operational readiness.
• Drive improvements in transactional processes and promote financial control, standardization, automation, and operational excellence.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6 to 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate and transaction management, including lease negotiations and portfolio management across multiple sites.
• Familiarity working across regions with understanding of country-specific considerations.
• Strong negotiation and financial acumen with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
• Capability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
• Proficient in understanding real estate markets, lease structures, and regulatory frameworks.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are advantageous.

Additional Information

Minimal international travel is expected (approximately 0-5% within the region). Johnson & Johnson is in the process of separating its Orthopaedics business into a standalone company, DePuy Synthes, under whose employment terms this role will eventually fall.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a base pay range of €70,100 to €121,210 annually.
