Manager, Strategic Communications & Special Projects

Role Overview

This position is part of the NSAS Strategic Communications & Special Projects team at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore). The primary responsibility is to design and execute NSAS's holistic communications strategy. This includes media relations, digital and social marketing content to effectively convey NSAS’s key messages and achieve strategic communication goals. The role encompasses overseeing all branding, communications, and media initiatives for NSAS. Collaboration with external partners to elevate NSAS’s and Singapore space sector's profile through events and engagements is also integral.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and deploy integrated communication plans to advance strategic messaging objectives.
• Formulate and manage media engagement strategies to enhance awareness and articulate organizational goals.
• Oversee and boost NSAS's digital footprint, targeting key audience segments via owned media channels.
• Manage and maintain consistent NSAS brand visuals and identity.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized marketing products and campaign execution.
• Utilize data analytics, social listening tools, and research to optimize communication tactics.
• Partner with external stakeholders to raise NSAS's profile and expand international collaborations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in strategic communications, marketing communications, media relations, or public relations.
• A genuine interest in public policy, international relations, economic topics, and current affairs.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with creative design applications such as Canva, Photoshop, and video editing tools like Capcut is advantageous.
